I’m in awe of women and what we’re capable of. I have been photographing mothers and their families for over 10 years and am also a mum of two incredible kids. Being a mum has been my greatest pride and joy and gave me a new sense of self. Nothing can compare to the depth of a mothers love for her child, you give yourself so completely, your body, your time and your heart. I can’t think of anything more beautiful and worthwhile to photograph. My approach is with a lifestyle feel, natural and simple, I look for moments of connection and authenticity. My aesthetic is light-filled and understated using mostly analog film. I photograph with the intention of timeless portraits and to honour you as a mother.
These portraits were taken in my studio in natural morning light. I found this gorgeous vintage dress at a vintage store and I knew it would be perfect for a maternity session. It was a joy to capture these portraits and show this new mama-to-be, how beautiful and amazing she is.
