Bio:
Aloha! My name is Caitlin Alohilani, and I am a Los Angeles based newborn, maternity, family, and wedding photographer. Born and raised on the island of O’ahu, the “Aloha Spirit” is an essential part of who I am and how I strive to serve my amazing couples and families throughout California and Hawai’i. Photography fuels my soul, and I feel so blessed to be able to cultivate and preserve memories through this medium. I am passionate about spreading joy in the world through timeless imagery, and celebrating love stories of all kinds. When I don’t have a camera in hand, you can find me sipping on a matcha latte, exploring all the local plant shops and nurseries, or spending a day at the beach.
Session Details:
This mother-daughter session brought me so much joy! Lindsey, a sweet friend of mine, gave birth to her first child, Hailey Camille, on March 4, 2021. I had the honor of capturing maternity photos for Lindsey and her husband, Nick, a few months prior. Hailey here is about 1 month old. I had walked past this field-like area a few weeks prior, and could envision a gorgeous, light-filled session. Lindsey and Hailey were gracious enough to be my models and bring this vision to life. Baby’s breath adorned a wicker basket set amongst the airy grasses. Hailey immediately calmed once nestled in. Lindsey glowed as a first-time mother, as we chatted about her new experiences with Hailey and all those things no one warns you about before baby’s arrival! It was an honor to capture their sweet bond.
