Branding: questions to ask
1. How do you want your clients to feel about themselves when they work with you?
2. What do you want your brands perceived value to be?
In a nutshell, your brand is how you make people feel.
This is what keeps clients coming back AND what gets them talking about you to their friends. Branding is NOT your pricing, your work or even your beat marketing skills. It is 100% how you make people FEEL!
Curating
Part of having a really strong brand is knowing what to show and when to show it. you want your photos to be able to stand alone – without a name attached – and your clients can pick your work out of any lineup. This is when you know you have a STRONG & CLEAR brand. Our biggest piece of advice is to choose what you show and advertise with. Not all clients will show up dressed in your brand colors and not every session will go perfectly to get those great branding shots. That is OKAY and normal – but just remember that your social media & website is your very own art gallery and you have the power to curate it any way you want.
Questions to ask yourself:
-What do you want your pictures to say?
– What *exactly* do you want to shoot & share?
-Why should your inquiries hire you over someone else?
-What are 3-5 words you would want associated with your brand?
Answer these questions above and work hard on creating and maintaining your brand! As always, we believe in you.
