Bio

Angel Owens is a Connection builder, Authentic story teller and lover of soft light through her fine art photography. From Angel “For over 7 years, I started with capturing moments for families, but in 2018 I transitioned into serving couples as a wedding photographer full time. Although I love to serve my couples, I still have a great passion around documenting the milestone moments in life through motherhood and families. It’s a given that couples book a wedding photographer to capture the biggest stage of their life through marriage BUT I find that it needs to continue on even after the wedding. Every milestone of your life tells a story, whether it’s finding out your pregnant and the maternity stage, the birth of a child, family photos with that new child… (and so on) they are all equally important! I like to think of it like this….. EVERY milestone or big change in your life is worth being captured within a professional story telling way.

“I’ll hold you a little longer, squeeze you a little tighter, kiss you a little harder and rock you a little longer.” These words from Stephanie couldn’t be any further than the true love and connection I witnessed being around this sweet family. This was their first professional family session since Emmie was born which surprised me because she was a pure natural! I am prepared during a family session to have to pull out a toy or snacks when kiddos start to get fussy, but not Emmie!  They were all so sweet and it was a fun evening! As an artist, connection is something I am constantly chancing after because that’s what creates moments that are real, moments that are raw and moments that you look back on years down the road that still show “the personalities.” Since pausing these moments in a timeless way is beyond important to me as an artist, I choose to use a way of capturing that has never gone out of style…. FILM. Film is a way that I find peeks my creativity and allows me to slow down during a session and see that true connection of families which is what happened within the Rackley family session.
