Hi I’m Julia Shelepova! Portrait photographer based in Danville, CA. I live with my dear husband, our two kids, and our forever puppy. I picked up photography when my son was born, and I couldn’t miss a moment of him and our daughter growing up. When I’m not behind my camera, I enjoy exploring the world with our family. That’s why I adore capturing portraits against the majestic backdrops made by nature. I am drawn to authentic emotions and connections inside the families. During the pandemic, I had plenty of time to play with my medium format film camera. Since then, I fell in love with the painterly qualities of film and never looked back! I enjoy documenting my clients unique stories in the most authentic and timeless way.Session Details:
This was my first session in the East Bay Area since our family moved from San Jose to Danville. I asked one of the wonderful local photogs, Corinna Rose, sweet enough to share her favorite spot – talk about community over competition! When I arrived to scout the location – it was an easy walk adorned with summer flowers and oak trees facing the sunset – the place didn’t disappoint. Helen and David were expecting their second child – a boy. Their firstborn, little girl Ella, was such a joy to be around and we both enjoyed our short time being in the great outdoors.
