RESHMA IS AN ORANGE COUNTY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER SPECIALIZING IN NEWBORN, MOTHERHOOD, AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. SHE ALSO TAKES ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF DESTINATION SESSIONS A YEAR, INCLUDING INTERNATIONALLY.
She serves women by helping preserve their memories of motherhood through heirloom artwork.
From Reshma: “My entire life I’ve had cameras in our home and lives in some shape or form. My father owns his own camera repair & service business in Canada and has been in the industry for over 50 years now, it originally started in Nairobi Kenya where I was born. I remember as a child, he would take me to work to help him ‘fix’ cameras, showed me how to load film, and always had a camera ready for me to experiment with. I’ve loved photography as long as I can remember, but chose to pursue business & marketing in school and ended up in Corporate America for 14 years. While I adored what I did, and had some awesome adventures, starting a family became the priority and my focus shifted. It wasn’t until I began having my own children that my love for photography started to become more than a hobby. Being a mom is the best thing I’ve done in life & I wanted the opportunity to be fully present with my children and now, five years later, I’m growing my business while juggling motherhood! Becoming an entrepreneur is no joke, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think a lot of moms will resonate with this journey.”
Session Details:
I photographed this family at one of my favorite locations in Southern California. The light was beautiful and the sun set behind the hills just at the right time. It was a very playful session and although we had a few posed shots that I directed, most of this session were organic filled moments of love and laughter that I had the honor of capturing. I helped style this family and everything turned out so beautifully.
