Bio:
Rebecca Sehn has specialized in photographing families for over a decade, and is commissioned all over the world. She is based in Vancouver Canada, and also photographs families seasonally throughout Europe and in Hong Kong. A love of pastoral settings, classical architecture, old fairy tales, and experiences of motherhood all translate deeply in Rebecca’s photography. She lives in a yellow house in the country with her accountant husband and three young children.
Session Details:
This was such a special session, photographed in late summer in Vancouver. Emmy was in her last months of pregnancy, and it felt so meaningful to capture this bond: a memory of her firstborn’s days as an only child. We met in the evening, and truthfully the light was a bit odd that day– not overcast, but sort of red and hazy. We wandered through the meadow of late summer grass, and explored the nearly empty beach, looking for shells and happening upon this magical driftwood hut. It was one of those sessions that just feels effortless.
