What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working?
Spending time with my two daughters (Lucy – 3.5 and Andie – 8 months) and my husband, going on walks in our neighborhood and traveling to new places! Some of my favorite places I’ve traveled have been Switzerland, Eleuthera and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.
Who inspires you?
Mothers – I am so in awe of all that goes into being a mother. Mothers who stay at home, mothers who work full-time, mothers who have small businesses and side gigs, and mothers who run huge businesses. It is all so important and so inspiring to see.
What makes your brand unique?
The biggest compliment I get is that my photos make people FEEL something. And my brand is all about that, I want people to FEEL how much I love what I do, how much I truly love people, how I want to make everyone feel their best in their photos and how I want for people who don’t even know them to feel like they do.
What is your favorite aspect of your business and what you do?
Connecting with people. I am lucky to say I’ve had some of the same clients for 10 or more years. I want to really know my clients, know their families and connect with them beyond the one hour shoot we have each year.
What business advice would you give to someone overwhelmed and just starting out?
Lean into the whole community over competition. Photographers often work alone and it is so important to have other photographer friends to bounce ideas off of, cheer for each others successes, vent, etc.
What’s your Starbucks drink?
Iced latte with almond milk and 2 pumps cinnamon dulce
