Bio:
I’m Melissa, a maternity, newborn and family photographer based out of Minneapolis, MN. As a child, I was infatuated with looking through old family photo albums, and could spend hours staring at the photos on my grandparent’s walls. It brings me so much joy to create the same tangible artwork for my clients and their little ones for them to enjoy.
I’ve been in business for 13+ years, but just recently discovered my love of photographing people in a natural, authentic way (thank you, TMA!). It has renewed my love for photography, and makes me excited to create beautiful work and stress-free sessions for my clients.
About the Session:
I was first contacted by this family when their baby boy was 7 days old. They were not originally going to have newborn photos taken, but could see how much he was changing already and wanted to document this time. Mom had seen some of my wardrobe and work on Instagram, and knew before coming in what she wanted to wear for the newborn session. The dress she chose looked absolutely amazing on her, and their baby boy slept like a champ for most of the session. I look at these images and can feel the happiness and love they have as a new family of three.
