As owner of Maddy Mallory Photography, I serve families in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and all over the Midwest by telling the unique love story of their families through lifestyle photography. I photograph milestone moments, with my clients’ joy taking center stage. After hours, you can find me taking a walk along the shores of Lake Michigan, sipping a cocktail concoction in our Victorian home, or spending quality time with my pastor husband. “With all the uncertainty and uneasiness this year has brought, I was truthfully hesitant at the initial thought of getting photos of my family done when Maddy reached out about being in town to get a session with her. The resulting heaviness I’ve been carrying these past few months wanted to take over – Is it the right time to capture us being joyful when we’ve been feeling many moments less than that lately? I definitely still have not lost baby weight since Emmett, do I really want that to show in these photos? – I didn’t want to lose the opportunity while Maddy was in town so I pushed it all aside and decided for one reason or another, this was meant to happen. Now I have that day and the photos of that small, simple, precious moment in time to cherish forever. A fraction of time I was able to forget all my worries, fears, and so on, and just BE with my family. It was exactly the reminder I needed that with them, no matter what, we can get through anything together. I can look at these photos and feel joy and warmth (not just because it was the middle of July) and peace – everything I didn’t think I had right now.
