Bio:
Hi I’m Kandi, a momma of 3. One is 12 almost ready to turn 13, one is 6 and one is 2! I have been married to my husband for a little over 3 years. We live in Pikeville, Kentucky and it is one of the most Eastern parts of Kentucky. It is a semi-small town surrounded by our beautiful Appalachian mountains. When I started my business I had a $500 rebel and just wanted pictures of my oldest. I had no intentions of pursuing anything, but it’s like it pursued me, and I feel like it continues to even when I feel like it’s too much or too hard. It’s still the joy in my heart. I have been shooting for around 11 years now! And, for most of that, I was also a single mom and primary classroom teacher. Over the years I’ve shot a little bit of everything, but the past couple of years anything “motherhood” has been what pulls at my heart strings. When I found TMA, I knew I was home and I have learned so much since joining! I feel like I am finally figuring out my business and all of the above – there’s no better feeling than actually living out a dream. Finding what makes your heart sing and just doing that. It really makes a huge difference in your life and your business!
Session Details:
This session was their at-home maternity session. They had not finished their new home yet – but, wanted to start their photographic journey with their sweet bundle to be. Dad is a local doctor and helps out our community so much, so it was a joy to do this for them. And the momma is just as sweet! We also just did their newborn session at their home – it was absolutely beautiful! The real laughs and joy are what do it for me at this session!
