MEET JACQUELINE

Jacqueline Benét is a top wedding and portrait photographer with a refined eye and artistic vision for capturing genuine moments in a way that is elegant and flattering. She specializes in creating elegant and flattering images for kind-hearted and sentimental moms. As a mom of two herself, she understands just how fleeting each moment is with our babies. Her photography has allowed her to discover her greater purpose in helping women feel seen in their new role as moms and preserve all those precious memories.

About the Session:

This sweet newborn session took place at my all white, natural light studio. The mom wanted all white and neutrals and we achieved such a gorgeous session for her. She expressed how beautiful she felt in the images and we were able to capture such precious details of her sweet little girl. My favorite part was incorporating their two dogs, who also happened to be white and neutral in color, and getting their perfect portrait of the whole family.

Gear used:

GFX 100 II + Contax Zeiss 80 mm lens
Contax645 + Contax Zeiss 80 mm lens + Fuji400H Film processed by Richard Photo Lab

This session was a mix of Fuji400h film rated at 200 developed normally. Digital files were edited with The Archetype Process Profile Fuji400h +2, Normal, Frontier.

A Piece of Advice from Jacqueline:

This session looks serene and magical, but of course with two dogs and a baby that just wanted to sleep and did not want to change outfits, it sometimes felt chaotic. But staying calm under the pressure and having patience that we would get all the beautiful shots they wanted helped the mom feel more relaxed. She expressed just how much she appreciated the way I managed everything and I think that is a reminder that it’s not necessarily the images that matter, but how the clients feel throughout the entire experience.
