As a mother of three, and an oncology (cancer) nurse, I have come to really appreciate all the small moments in life. I am honored and overly blessed to capture my clients in various stages and enjoy watching their family grow, year after year. I appreciate timeless details, a good candid, all the snuggles and especially authentic smiles. There isn’t a time in a shoot that I won’t tell jokes, make silly noises, or encourage tickling to capture those full belly laughs.Session Details:
This session is actually of me and two of my three children- Abigail (3) and Brenton (1). We were visiting family and friends in southern California and I wanted a few images to capture my own family in the state I grew up in, and also document the first time Brenton visited. It’s not often I get to be in pictures with my children, I’m sure other photographers can relate, so I begged my husband to grab a few shots with my artistic direction, and I absolutely love how they turned out. My favorite thing about these images is you can feel the emotion from the movement and the energy of the expressions. One thing I strive for as an artist is to not only capture the way you look but also how you feel, and I think these images depict just that.
