Bio:

Hi, I'm Jacqueline! A newborn and family photographer based in Richmond, Va. I began learning about newborn photography when my nephew was born a few years ago and have been in love ever since. I just welcomed my first baby in November, a daughter, which has enhanced my love of family and motherhood photography even more than I could imagine!

About the Session:

This mama came to me for baptism portraits of her three month old. She wanted to recreate the portraits that were done of herself around the same age. While we were in the studio, we also took some time to photograph mama with her baby girl and they ended up being some of my favorites from the entire day. I always encourage parents, and even grandparents, to hop in on their little one's milestone portraits. These times are so fleeting and I know they will cherish having tangible memories of this chapter through their portraits.

This session was shot primarily with a digital medium, but I also brought along my Mamiya 645 medium format camera using Kodak Portra 800 and my Minolta SRT 101 35mm camera using Kodak Tri-X 400 for the black and white images, and I am glad I did because the lighting was *chefs kiss*. Film was processed by the talented folks at Rewind Camera.
