Bio:
Julia Shelepova is a fine art family photographer living and shooting in the SF Bay Area.
In her career, Julia has photographed more than 400 families. She helped them fill their homes with heirloom albums and gallery frames full of memorable moments.
Her families hire her again and again, year after year, to preserve the precious seasons of their lives.
From pregnancy announcements to the moment the family brings their firstborn home to the first steps to annual family portraits. It is a privilege to document life from maternity throughout childhood. Julia’s work is regularly featured in publications such as The Motherhood Anthology, The Fount Collective, The White Wren, and others.
About the Session:
I’ve been privileged to photograph this sweet family for a few years now. From the time the first two kids were tiny toddlers through the third pregnancy and newborn stages.
The mother – Katie, a fellow family photographer, and a friend, had dreamed about a family session at the beach with the cliffs. That hidden beach in Santa Cruz was a perfect backdrop, and we had it to ourselves that day!
Katie is a patient, nurturing mother with special attention to the needs of each child. It was a bitter-sweet moment looking at the picture of Katie holding her oldest son, realizing it may be the last year she could pick him up for a photo.
I am grateful to be by Katie’s side and document her motherhood journey.
