Bio:
Hi there! I’m Caitlin – Motherhood photographer in Edmonton, Alberta. I am a Mother to two rambunctious little boys who are 4 and 7 years old. I fell in love with photography when I photographed both of my boys as babies. My sweet newborns grew into busy toddlers and then were independent little boys in the blink of an eye, so I often find myself looking back on the photographs, reminiscing about the quiet cuddles, the soft baby skin and the overwhelming sense of love and wonder I felt for the first time for these new little beings. It is my mission to capture these moments for other Mothers – from the glow of pregnancy, to the first weeks soaking up all of the love and getting to know their new little humans.
About the Session:
I did Cassandra’s Maternity and Newborn session and then captured this session of her and little Emmett at six months old. He was such a happy little camper for the entirety of the session which I think had a lot to do with his Mother’s calm and loving energy. This was my first session using a canvas backdrop which I actually hand painted myself and I was so pleased with the light and soft feel of the images. It was a very cold and snowy week in Edmonton and I think we were all patiently awaiting some warmer weather, so I decided to add in some fresh Tulips to evoke a feeling of Spring and New beginnings.
