What’s in your camera bag & what’s your favorite lens?
Canon 5D Mark IV 24-70 2.8 lens 50 1.2 lens (love them both, I’ve been using my 24-70 more lately for safe distances.)
Who inspires you?
Nature, coffee table books, my mother, my mother-in-law & my girlfriends.
What makes your brand unique?
I host Mama Gatherings a handful of times each year. I like to bring women/mothers together & have us step away from the day-to-day whether it be at the studio, outside for a picnic, a winery, at a local shop. Beautiful connections & friendships are formed & I have a blast hosting them. Each gathering is unique it it’s own way – some gatherings the kiddos join us other gathering it’s adults only. I also try to host a couple a year where a special guest speaker comes and teaches us something about our well being.
What’s your favorite aspect of your business?
Ah! So many things. I love meeting new people, I love making mood board & I love sitting down at the computer after a session, editing the previews & sharing them on Instagram. SO much work goes into a session it so fun to see the outcome & feel the love on each photo.
What business advice would you give to someone overwhelmed with starting out?
We’re all figuring it out as we go. Practice, practice & more practice! Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable to the people you trust & tell them your struggles. There’s always a solution. We all have good days & bad days. Being a creative business owner is not an easy task but it’s such a beautiful relationship to be in.
What’s your Starbucks drink?
I don’t have it often but when I do go I love getting a caramel macchiato with coconut milk over ice.
