I’m Rachel of Rachel Friedman Photography, and I’m a newborn, maternity and family photographer based in Plano, Texas, serving families across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. I offer a range of photography session options, from light and bright studio sessions to golden outdoor sessions to cozy in-home lifestyle sessions.

As a mother of three little ones myself, I know all too well how quickly time flies – one day, you’re feeling those pitter pattering feet tap you from the inside, and then you blink, and they’re walking into elementary school as you stand there marveling and wondering where all that time went! This is why I believe in the importance and legacy of timeless portraiture for families, so we can freeze these moments in the early years (and ALL the years) for generations to come.

That said, my experience as a mom is also why I know how easily the process of capturing family portraits can shift from carefree to high-stress for mothers of little ones. I am a firm believer that the process of capturing your family’s love for each other should be stress-free and fun, which is why I aim to anticipate each hurdle of the journey and solve my clients’ problems, from coordinating outfits via my complimentary studio wardrobe to arranging for hair and makeup for mom to finding the perfect location to helping to select the perfect way to display and enjoy their final artwork.

There is something extra special about capturing your last baby’s first year. When Juliana approached me about booking her baby’s first year membership, she knew that this was going to be their third and final baby and wanted to be sure we documented this special time as they welcomed their third baby girl. Also, she spends her days with mothers navigating the same journey as an OBGYN in Plano, so she knows all too well how fleeting these final weeks of pregnancy are and how much her girls would appreciate getting to see their mother in her beautiful pregnant form when they are young women approaching this stage themselves.  She had a vision for an intimate maternity session in studio for her winter baby, and she wanted to be sure we included her big girls and their love and excitement for baby “Mia Bella” who would arrive in a few short weeks. Together, we were able to capture all of the emotions surrounding this season in their life, from quiet anticipation to unbridled joy.
