Melissa is an internationally published photographer who grew up in the North of England, later to move to the Pacific Northwest. Based in Vancouver & Kelowna, British Columbia, she photographs exquisite weddings and fine art Motherhood sessions across Canada, the UK and worldwide. Photographing emotion, specifically through the medium of film, is her passion.
Session Details:
The maternity session was shot on film at the seaside in White Rock, British Columbia. There is something magical about seaside motherhood sessions. In the final weeks of pregnancy there is so much anticipation and a lot of unknown. Like the ocean, the bearing and delivering a child is both beautiful and powerful as nature awakens a strength in us that we didn’t know was possible before. It was so special to capture the tender moments between these first time parents who have now welcomed their healthy baby boy into the world.
