Bio:
My name is Rachel Stricklin and I live in Birmingham, AL with my husband and my three kids (ages 6, 4, and 1). In my approach to photography, and life in general, I strive towards authenticity, deep connections, and simplicity. One reason I love photography is the chance it gives me to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. Photography gives me a unique opportunity to learn more about people, hear their stories, and highlight what makes their family beautiful. I consider that a true honor.
About the Session:
We lucked out with the most beautiful evening for this session. The way Emily and David love on their three girls is so tender and special. As I directed them to snuggle and hug, Emily whispered to each of her girls (unprompted) how much they are loved.. and watching their little faces light up was just beautiful. It reminded me of the importance of our words-- and our words combined with a photograph gives us tangible evidence of how much we cherish these little people we have been allowed to raise. What a special gift for these girls to remind them of their family's bond and love for one another. Fun fact: We had a hard time finding a date for this session and ended up doing them on David's birthday! He got lots of extra love and snuggles from his girls, and handled it so graciously and happily!
