What is in your camera bag?

Sony A7iii + Zeiss 50mm 1.4 and 35mm 1.4 for Sony. (Both are amazing but my go to is my 50mm!)

What is your favorite thing to do when you aren't working?

My favorite thing to do when I am not working is being a MOM. Even stronger than my passion for photography is my passion for my own family. Even before I did photography family was #1 for me and I was passionate about kids which makes my job extremely fun and I feel like I have perfectly combined two passions of mine to create a beautiful business that also blesses my own family. Being the mom of the two best children in the world is better than any job. Also... I am trying to get into creating my own cut flower garden! Wish me luck!

Who inspires you?

Who inspires me? Wow, that is a tough question. I am inspired by so many different things. Number one, my dad for paving the way of being an incredible artist and entrepreneur before me. (@jonflaming). Kendall Hanna for fashion, Lindsey Badenhop for home goals, Alexandria Smith for homesteading goals. As far as photography goes. Stephanie Rosenthol, Hannah Mann, Talia Laird, Lauren Roller, Rachel Breier, and Candice Jean are a handful of the talented photographers out there who inspire me daily.

What makes your brand unique?

ME! Because I am unique and see the world like no other person my images and the experience with me will also be unique. I like to think that I set my clients up for success from the very beginning which allows me to not only take so much stress off of my mommas with planning wardrobe, picking locations, etc but also allows me to capture truly genuine moments, have the most fun with my families. I am very business minded and prepared when it comes to planning and also a total goofball during a session. My brand is unique because there is no one quite like myself.

What is your favorite aspect of your business and what you do?

I love preserving seasons of life for families. No matter what that season looks like. Expecting mommas, newborn fresh babies, crazy toddlers, older children, whatever your season I love preserving it through photos that I hope will be passed down from one generation to the next. I love getting to see my families multiple times a year, build a true relationship with my clients knowing we are creating incredible art for their home and memories to be preserved forever.

What business advice would you give to someone overwhelmed and just starting out?

One of my favorite quotes of all time is "Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle." After over decade of building my business I am where I am today so my biggest encouragement is KEEP GOING. I have put in a lot of work to be where I am today. Run your race, you are on your own beautiful journey to a successful photography career and I will be the first to be your biggest cheerleader because I was there too. Put in the 10000 hours! Do the work, do it a lot and you WILL get to where you want to be! I promise. With experience comes confidence and with confidence comes creativity! Shoot all the time, gain as much experience as you can, and charge more because you are worth it.
