Bio:

I'm an editorial wedding photographer based in Solomons Island, MD. My husband and I have two girls ages 8 and 6, and last year we got the surprise of a lifetime when we found out I was pregnant with our son!

This abrupt shove back into the baby years has shifted my business and creative focus to the beauty of motherhood. I love to help my clients see themselves the way that their families see them, and to create heirlooms to help them remember their sweetest, fleeting moments.

About the Session:

I’ve worked with the M family a few times now, and I knew the interior of their home would be perfect for a relaxed morning together. In-home portraits are fantastic for young families! The kids feel comfortable in the environment they know best, and there’s no rush to get everyone out the door, meaning you simply get to enjoy time with each other.

When planning in-home lifestyle sessions with my clients, I like to design the shoot around the home’s decor as well as an activity that’s meaningful to the family. For the M family, that meant cozy, neutral outfits with subtle hints of blue while baking cookies together! The boys had so much fun helping with the cookies and showing me around their home, while baby sister practiced taking her first steps. Enjoy a few favorites from our morning together!
